Cycling started for me when I was a young child. My friends and I would have fierce races in our neighborhood but the passion I have for cycling came from my father. My Dad used to take me on what I would describe as “death rides”. These rides were around many of the Finger Lakes or deep into the backwoods and would be typically steep and covering long distances. Somehow after countless “death rides” I still love cycling to this day.
I discovered racing very late in my cycling journey. Rob convinced me to sign up to race the Tour de Loop in 2014. I got my a** kicked and was dropped on the first hill, but it was exhilarating to race against others. I was hooked!
