This year’s Cazenovia Hillbender was a phenomenal success, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share the highlights of this exciting event. As the team has proudly taken over the organization and planning of the race for the first time, the outcome exceeded our expectations.
The day started with a touch of uncertainty as the weather was a bit wet and dreary. However, as the morning progressed, the skies cleared, leaving us with not-so-bad racing conditions… The fresh air and scenic landscapes set the stage for a great morning of cycling.
We were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and spirit of the racers who came from near and far to tackle the challenging course. Your determination and passion continue to make the Hillbender a thrilling spectacle for everyone involved.
A special shoutout goes to our volunteers, whose hard work and commitment were the backbone of this event. From setting up the course to ensuring the safety of all participants, your efforts were invaluable. The friendly support provided by each volunteer truly embodied the spirit of the CNY cycling community. Without their support, this race wouldn’t happen!
We would also like to thank our sponsors and local supporters, whose generous contributions helped make this event possible: Local 315 Brewing Co., The Rabin Law Firm, Instride Sports, Chobani Yogurt, Chrome Industries, CELSIUS Energy Drinks, Coospo, Molten Speedwax, Dynaplug, Showers Pass, Vermont Smoke and Cure, and Gu Energy.
As we reflect on the success of the day, we’re already looking forward to next year’s race. We hope to see all of this year’s participants return, along with new faces ready to take on the Hillbender challenge.
Thank you once again to all racers, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters. Your contributions made this year’s Cazenovia Hillbender a remarkable event, and we can’t wait to continue this exciting tradition next year. Stay tuned for updates and get ready for another thrilling race!
